Rubber Magnets

Rubberized magnets consist of a neodymium power magnet which is covered by a layer of rubber. This means that these magnets can be used outdoor and in humid conditions, which otherwise is not possible as normal neodymium power magnets easily oxidize. The rubber coating also has the positive property that they can be applied to delicate surfaces such as glass whiteboards without causing scratches. Because of the rubber coating the adhesive strength is slightly lower than neodymium power magnets without a rubber coating. Instead they have a very high shear friction (surface friction) that prevent them from sliding easily on the surface on which they are attached.
