Over at Instructables.com I found a clever DIY project that may be of interest if you own one of the popular GoPro cameras. In all its simplicity, the author has taken the plastic mount that (according to the author) comes with a GoPro camera and attached two powerful neodymium magnets. This gives the camera a magnetic mount that allows it to be attached to a magnetic surface. In the article, the author wants to attach the GoPro camera to a tractor, but it could just as easily be a motorcycle, snowmobile etc. If you would like to learn how the GoPro mount has been made magnetic, you can follow the link to the original article at the bottom of this page.
I article, the author inserts a neodymium magnet into a steel capsule. This protects the magnet and makes it easy to screw it to a bracket. We suggest using pot magnets instead, as the magnets are then pre-mounted in a steel pot. Furthermore, pot magnets are available in different versions that make it easy to screw them on. Below you can find suggestions for different types of pot magnets that we think you can use.
