Rubber coated pot magnets with hook

Rubber-coated pot magnets with hooks provide a repositionable hanging point on magnetic steel surfaces without drilling. The open, curved hook makes it easy to hang up tea towels, kitchen utensils, tools and decorations and take them down again. You can place a strap or cord directly onto the hook without threading it through a closed eyelet. The magnet and hook are supplied together as a set.
The rubber coating protects the underlying surface and reduces the risk of scratches on surfaces such as painted steel. It also increases friction, helping the magnet resist sliding when a load acts parallel to the surface. This is particularly useful when mounting on vertical surfaces such as steel cabinets and shelving.

The hook magnets can be used on vertical steel surfaces and for hanging items beneath horizontal steel surfaces, such as a steel beam or the underside of a steel shelf. Position the magnet so that the entire magnetic base sits flush against the surface and the item rests in the curve of the hook.

When choosing a magnet, consider the direction of the load. The stated holding force applies to a direct pull perpendicular to and away from the surface. On a vertical surface, the load capacity is lower because the load can cause the magnet to slide or tilt away. Allow an extra margin when choosing your magnet. Our guidance suggests around 30% of the stated holding force as a rule of thumb. A magnet with a stated holding force of 10 kg can therefore hold approximately 3 kg in this position. The actual load capacity depends on the mounting surface and the load, so test the setup on the surface you intend to use.

Also check the hook’s dimensions and opening on the product page to ensure that the item’s hanging hole, strap or cord fits the hook.
