Rubber coated pot magnet with angle hook
Rubber-coated pot magnets with angle hooks provide a repositionable hanging point on magnetic steel surfaces without drilling. The open, L-shaped hook makes it easy to hang items up and take them down again, such as tea towels, kitchen utensils and tools. The magnet and angle hook are supplied together as a set.
The rubber coating protects the underlying surface and reduces the risk of scratches on surfaces such as painted steel. It also increases friction, helping the magnet resist sliding when a load acts parallel to the surface. This is particularly useful on steel cabinets, shelving and other vertical surfaces.
The angle hook is designed for mounting on vertical surfaces with the tip pointing upwards. It is not suitable for ceiling mounting, as the suspended item could slip off the hook. For ceiling mounting, choose a magnet with a curved hook or an eyelet instead.
The stated holding force applies to a direct pull perpendicular to and away from the surface. When mounted on a vertical surface, the load capacity is lower because the load can cause the magnet to slide or tilt away. The further out on the hook the load hangs, the more easily it can lever the magnet off the surface. Position the load as close to the mounting surface as possible and allow an extra margin when choosing your magnet. Our guidance suggests around 30% of the stated holding force as a rule of thumb. A magnet with a stated holding force of 10 kg can therefore hold approximately 3 kg in this position.
