Description
This countersunk pot magnet is fitted with a ferrite magnet rather than the typical neodymium magnet. The magnet has a diameter of 40 mm and a height of 8 mm. The strength is 16 kg. The ferrite magnet offers a lower price but lower strength. The ferrite magnet can also withstand humid environments, so if you can accept that the steel pot will rust, pot magnets with ferrite magnets can be used outdoors.
The strength of the pot magnet is measured in horizontal pull. In other words, how many kilograms it can hold before it releases when attached to, for example, a ceiling beam. If the pot magnet is placed on a smooth vertical surface (e.g., a metal wall), you may find that it slides down before reaching its maximum strength.
