Description
The magnet is encased in a steel pot which greatly increases the strength of the magnet. This pot magnet is designed to be glued to a flat surface or placed in a recess.
The magnet has a diameter of 32 mm and a height of 8 mm. The strength is 34 kg.
Please note that the stated strength is for direct pull on a horizontal surface. If the magnet is mounted on a vertical surface (e.g. a wall) its holding power will be well below the stated strength. This is because the magnet will either start to slip or the weight will cause the magnet to tip off the surface. Therefore: On a horizontal surface, the holding power of the magnet will be equal to the strength indicated on this page, while on a vertical surface, the holding power will be approximately 15% of the strength.
