Gold coloured magnets
Gold is the only coating in the magnet world chosen almost purely for aesthetics. A gold-plated neodymium magnet carries the same strength as its nickel-coated equivalent, but instead of blending in, it stands out — warmly and deliberately. That makes it the right choice for visible mounting points, decorative fixtures, display applications and anywhere the magnet is in plain sight and needs to look intentional rather than industrial.
Gold plating also offers slightly better corrosion resistance than standard nickel in dry indoor environments, though it is not suitable for outdoor or damp conditions. For those applications, a rubber-coated waterproof magnet is a better fit.
Common uses include decorative hooks, jewellery and craft projects, premium packaging closures, display boards with an upscale finish, and visible screw-on mounting points on light-coloured or warm-toned surfaces.
If you need the strength of neodymium with a finish that matches your materials, gold is the warmest option available. For a cooler metallic finish, silvery-coated magnets cover the same shapes and sizes.
