Description
Eyelet magnets are identical to hook magnets except that the hook is closed to form an eye. This can be an advantage if you want to ensure that a string does not fall off, for example. The magnet has a diameter of 25 mm and a height of 30 mm. The strength is 18 kg.
Please note that the stated strength is for direct pull on a horizontal surface. If the magnet is mounted on a vertical surface (e.g. a wall), its holding power will be well below the stated strength. This is because the magnet will either start to slip or the weight will cause it to tip off the surface. Therefore, on a horizontal surface, the holding power of the magnet will be equal to the strength indicated on this page, while on a vertical surface, the holding power will be approximately 15% of the strength.
