Description
The magnet has a diameter of 66 mm and a height of 8.5 mm. The strength is 25 kg, and the magnet is covered with rubber. The magnet can be mounted with a screw that fits into the thread of the pot magnet.
The stated strength is measured by pulling from a horizontal surface such as a ceiling beam. If the magnet is placed on a vertical surface (a wall) instead, you may find that the magnet can hold fewer kilograms than stated on this page. This is not because the magnet is weak, but because the magnet will either start to slip or topple over. The rubber coating on the magnet increases friction and, therefore, it can hold more kilos before it starts to slip. Worth knowing about the rubber-coated pot magnet with internal thread:
- IMPORTANT: The threaded hole goes all the way through the magnet. Be careful not to damage the rubber on the opposite side of the threaded hole when screwing in the magnet
- The rubber coating increases friction, so the magnet can hold more weight before it starts to slip
- The rubber coating prevents scratches on delicate surfaces
- Despite the rubber coating, the magnet is not suitable for outdoor use. It can withstand a few drops of water, but constant moisture will damage the magnet
