SketchPaint is a two-component, water-based paint that transforms most smooth surfaces into a durable and writable whiteboard surface. You can use SketchPaint on walls, doors, furniture, or tables to create a whiteboard wherever you need it. If you want SketchPaint to work with magnets, start with two layers of magnetic paint, then paint over it with SketchPaint.
This edition of SketchPaint is matte white, and the container holds 1 liter of paint, which covers approximately 6 m² with one coat.
Properties
- Matte white finish that maintains its fresh look over time
- Excellent durability with high scratch and wear resistance
- VOC-free and lead-free – safe for indoor use
- Suitable for both regular whiteboard markers and chalk markers
Instructions
Surface Preparation
- The surface must be clean, dust-free, dry, smooth, and free from grease or cleaning agents.
- Remove all loose paint. Sand the surface if needed to make it as smooth as possible.
- For glossy or semi-glossy surfaces → sand with sandpaper to ensure good adhesion.
- After sanding, wipe with a clean, damp cloth (water only).
Paint Preparation
- Pour the contents of the small can (hardener) into the large can (pigment). Stir for 3 minutes.
- Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to remove air bubbles.
- Never mix SketchPaint with other paint.
Applying SketchPaint
- Apply within 45 minutes after mixing.
- Load the roller well and paint in straight, even strokes.
- For larger areas: Have the next can ready and mixed. Continue while the paint is still wet.
Drying Time
- Surface dry: 24 hours
- Fully cured: 5 days → only then can you write on it with markers.
Maintenance of SketchPaint
- Use only markers designed for whiteboards.
- For stubborn marks, you can use whiteboard cleaner.
- Remove regular marker lines with a dry cloth.
Notes
- Once the paint is mixed, it cannot be saved for later use, as it will harden.
- Apply the paint with a roller – not a brush.
- If you want SketchPaint to work with magnets, start with two layers of magnetic paint. Then paint over the magnetic paint with SketchPaint.
- You can use painter’s tape to mark off the area on the wall where you want to paint. Remove the tape a few hours after painting.
