Description
The magnet has a strength of 2.1kg and measures 26mm in length, 16mm in width and 8mm in height. The magnet is embedded in PETG plastic which protects it from water/moisture and to some extent from impact and shock.
The magnet is suitable for use in wet environments because it is protected behind the plastic. Ordinary neodymium magnets cannot withstand moisture for long periods of time.
If you need to glue the magnet in place, be aware that you often cannot use regular superglue as it will not stick to PETG. Choose a polyurethane glue if you need a strong bond. If you don't need a strong bond, a glue gun can sometimes be sufficient to hold the magnet in place.
There may be slight variations in the plastic. Typically around edges and corners. These variations are often difficult to see with the naked eye as you have to get very close. They have no effect on the functionality of the magnet and few people will notice them. The variations are caused by the manufacturing process.
