One of our customers needed a better way to keep track of their paintbrushes. Fortunately, paintbrushes often have a metal band around them, which is attached to a magnet. As you can see in the picture below, a number of magnets are glued underneath the painting stand, where the brushes can easily be placed when not in use. On each magnet is a felt plate that protects the magnet from the repeated ‘blows’ of the paintbrush. Without the felt plate, the magnet can be damaged over time.

If you don't want to glue the magnets in place, you can consider countersunk pot magnets that can easily be screwed in place. Further down the page you will find examples of such magnets and a link to the magnet used in this article.
